T-Ball Season...

Lexi concluded her t-ball season last week. She did a great job, as did daddy who was her coach. This year she got to play with her friend Maddie and Rick got to coach with her dad Josh. That meant that Will also got to play with Maddie's younger sister Abbie, who is no stranger to the blog. She had many fans visit over the course of the season including...Grandma Jeannie and Papa Schmidt, Grandma Joanne and Papa Ron and Aunt Rose.Lexi in her catcher gear.MaddieMaddie, Lexi, Abbie and WillWill and Abbie could only spend so much time watching their big sisters. The rest of their time was spent on the playground. Rick, Lexi, Josh and Maddie I love this pic. MaddieLexi

Summer Fun...

On Sunday and Monday we took a family "mini vacation". We started out Sunday morning at Bay Beach and spent the afternoon at the Zoo. The kids had a great time. Monday we took them to the pool in Oshkosh, but I opted not to bring my camera.
The picture does not do this turtle justice. I can't believe how big this guy was.
I think these guys are funny.Lexi took this picture. Not bad...Will was very interested in the pengiun exhibit. He thought they were the "Penguins of Madagascar." This picture was taken a few weeks ago. Lexi and Taylor were taking a spin with Grandma and Papa in the covertible.

Remembering...

Last weekend the new flag pole at the Little Falls ballpark was dedicated to Reno and Elva Frailing. The ball players, headed by Kyle Fischer, constructed the memorial.
Before today's National anthem is played, we would like to take a moment to dedicate the new flag and flag pole in memory of Reno and Elva Frailing.

Reno and Elva were avid Logger fans and rarely missed a game. They would always be the first ones at the park on Sunday afternoons to watch the Loggers take batting practice and hand out bubble gum to the team as they arrived. After a winning game, Elva would be the first to congratulate the players on a good game and Reno would be sharing his victory cigars.

Sadly, Elva passed away in January of 2000 and Reno joined her this past March. They are greatly missed at the ballpark. The new flag you see flying today was presented to Reno's family at his funeral in honor of his service to our country in World War II. Please join me in a moment of silence for Reno and Elva as we remember their love of life and baseball.

Miss you guys!

4th of July...

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. It is my favorite holiday and I am sad to see it go, but it was a great three day weekend. We went to a fireworks show on Friday night, spent the day in Leopolis on Saturday catching up with old friends and on Sunday we spent the day at the ballpark watching Little Falls play Leopolis. I took as many pictures as I could (not as many as I would like, but just enough for my friends not to beat me up) and have some featured below. There are a lot of shadows because of the beautiful sunny day, but I wasn't going to make people move or I would have been thrown in the pond. :) The rest will be posted on my facebook page today.Leighten and LexiLexi and Kyle The Ladies of Leopolis
