Happy Birthday Grandma...

Happy Birthday to my Grandma Hamm today.  We love you so much!  We celebrated as we have for quite some time now, pool party/lunch at my Uncle Gary and Aunt Emily's house.  It wasn't the sunniest weather today, so mostly the kids braved the cool water, hence lots of pictures of the kids. :)  We also celebrated my cousin Jenn's son's birthday, Brayden who is the big 2 this year.

Will's Birthday Fun...

Will had another great birthday this year.  A few weeks ago he had his "friend" party where he got to invite three friends and go somewhere fun.  Will's choice was to go to Chucky Cheese for dinner and then come back to the house for cake, presents and to play for a little while.

Here Will is on his actual birthday.  He got to open one present and have a brownie for breakfast.

Lexi's Birthday Fun...

Lexi's birthday last week fell on a school day, so to make it special she got to open one present and have cake for breakfast!

Then last night, she got to have her "friend" party.  She chose to have some of her friends over to the house for a sleepover.  Two of the girls weren't able to come, so it was just the three girls below.  Maddie, Lexi and Lauren.  Great girls, they were so much fun to watch and hang out with. We started out the night by swimming in the new pool, then we got pizza for dinner.  The girls then dolled up (they were in the bathroom for what seemed like an hour doing their hair and putting on some make-up) and we went roller skating.  I had some good laughs watching them dancing out there and just laughing and having fun.  On the way home we stopped for ice cream and then set up beds in the living room and watched a movie.

Happy Birthday to You!

It seems like you were just a few months old like in this picture, and now here you are today 6 years old and you have your first year of school under your belt. We are very proud of you and how you conduct yourself when you aren't with us.  Your teachers at school and after school seem to just adore you, and that makes our hearts smile.

Here you are a few days ago on the last day of kindergarten looking so grown up and handsome.

We love you and hope you enjoy your birthday!  The family birthday party is today, right on your birthday, so you will have lots of people that love you to celebrate with you.

Outdoor Movie...

A few weeks ago we took the kids to their first outdoor movie with the Bartz and Fischer families.  We had a great family night and will definitely go back again.

 The kids had snacks and played a few games (Ayden and Will in the background) before the movie.  Abbie chose a big pickle.  It was as big as she was. ;-)

Mother's Day...

I had a wonderful Mother's Day again this year.  Rick, Lexi and Will do such a great job of making me feel loved every day of the year, but especially on Mother's Day.  The day before, they let me get away for a few hours to go flower shopping and go out to lunch with my good friends Jenny and Tammy for a fun girls day.  Then on Sunday we started out the day by going out to lunch and did a little more flower shopping. 

 In the afternoon, Lexi helped me plant the flowers while Rick and Will worked on cleaning up the shrubs.  We ended the day by taking a nice long bike ride on the new bike they gave me as a present.  What a fun day!
