Little bit of this..little bit of that...

This week I am combining several events into one blog, since I am a bit behind.

A couple of weeks ago I had my 15 year class reunion in Clintonville. The event was family oriented and held at a park where the kids could play and adults could converse. It was nice to see everyone and my kids had a great time. Thanks to Cassy, Jill and Jan for all of their hard work.

This past weekend we got together with our friends Josh and Tammy. We have been trying to get a free weekend all summer so the kids could play and it finally worked out for both of us. The plan was to grill out, have a nice dinner, and then a campfire..but unfortunately it rained. Maddie and Abbie then slept over. It was Abbie's first time sleeping over and she did great.

Playing Bingo the next morning.Last week Lexi and her class at daycare put on a circus for family and friends. It was very cute, they put on a wonderful show.

The circus was complete with clowns...Lion Tamers...Tight Rope Walkers...
Tumblers...The World's Strongest Man...Lexi with two of her friends..Maddie and RougeRick's baseball team concluded it's season this past Sunday. It is always hard to lose a playoff game when you are one step away from the championship game, but you can't win them all.

This past weekend we had our annual Radies cousin camp out at Rick's sister's house. I was really looking forward to it this year and sad that is over already. Many of Rick's 1st cousins come with their families Friday and Saturday night and either bring a camper or set up a tent. Just as it would be at a campground, each family brings their own drinks and food to grill.
Jackie and Kyle have a great home for this outing, the biggest draw being their awesome pool. We have been extremely lucky with the weather over the past several years and this year didn't disappoint. The kids had fun swimming, playing ball, taking gator rides and having a camp fire. One year Rick and I rented a camper, otherwise we normally stay in the house. This year we decided the kids were old enough to camp, so we bought our first tent. Although I didn't sleep the best and I am not much of a "tent kind of person", I still didn't mind the experience and would do it again. Will loved playing and sleeping in his newly acquired tent as did Lexi.
Thanks to Jackie and Kyle for opening up their home. I have posted a ton of pics and after reviewing them, was sorry I didn't take more. I missed so many people! :) Although this isn't all of them, many of the family pics we took in front of the waterfall didn't turn out the best because it was getting too dark, but I posted anyway. Hope the other girls got some better ones with their cameras.

Will wearing his "headlight". He loved this light. Said he was going out and looking for owls. It also served another purpose, I always knew where he was. :)

Waterpark...finally

Well after cancelling our Dells trip for almost a month, the weather finally looked warm enough to book our hotel although there was rain in the forecast. We still played it safe and booked an indoor/outdoor hotel. When we arrived on Friday it was raining, so we played indoors all day. On Saturday we woke up to thunderstorms, but they soon moved out and we were able to play outside in the 87 degree weather. It was the four of us and then Lexi brought her friend Rouge along. We had so much fun!

The outdoor tree house.Lexi and Rouge looking for treasure. Will must have went down this slide a hundred times because it had a "spider web" to crawl up to get to it. RougeWill just couldn't take it anymore on Saturday afternoon, he had to rest. I think he slept for 15 minutes at the most and was ready to go again. Bed Heads...Lexi tried the new rope climbing exhibit they had. It was two stories high and not the easiest thing to do. I was very impressed that she finished the course (without falling) and wasn't scared!
A picture so you can get an idea of how high she was in the air.
