Memorial Day Weekend...

Happy Memorial Day...
Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We had a couple of nice days and were very appreciative of the wonderful weather! The decorations below are from our house. I usually decorate the front yard in red and white flowers and decorations for Memorial Day and the 4th of July.
On Saturday we spent the day out at Rick's parents house. The kids got to play in the river and go for gator rides. Will wasn't keen on spending a lot of time in the river so he used his fake fishing pole to pass the time. lol Lexi, Camille, Margie, Kendall and in the front Rouge. The girls racing for bragging rights...Will and Grandma tooling around in the gator while the girls swam...Girls posing for me on the swinging bridge...
On the swinging bridge the girls found two baby birds. (with some crazy hair I might add)
Then we headed to spend some time at Grandma Jeannie and Papa Bob's house...
Rouge, Lexi and Will playing on their favorite rock. They had a good time riding their bikes and electric vehicles.
This was our present to my mom on Mother's Day. She had found this old butter churn at a craft store and wanted to display it with flowers in the front yard. I think it turned out nice.

Parade...

Playing a little catch up...
Here are some pictures from the first parade of the season that we attended a few weeks back.

Tractor Pull? Yes, I know it is not a blog I have done before. This past weekend Rick's baseball team put on a tractor pull as one of their fundraisers. Being as it was my first tractor pull, I of course had to bring along my camera. It was the first tractor pull of the season for these gentleman they call "pullers", so there was a nice turnout despite waking up to 3 inches of snow on the ground in the morning.
I am guessing there were around 75 tractors that ranged from the antique class...
to the modified.....and the big farm tractors...
All vying for the trophy...
The baseball team and their families (with some help from friends that had some experience on how to run a tractor pull) put a lot of work into getting this together. Wish I would have had more pictures of those that worked on this windy cold day.

After the tractor pull was over, people congregated to the tavern for a few drinks and karaoke.

Spring get-a-way...

This week we took our annual spring break trip to the water park. The first day and a half were heaven as the hotel was not busy and the park seemed to be all ours. (Friday night was a different story, but it we enjoyed it while it lasted) Upon arrival we got a surprise as we were told that they complimentarly (is that a word?) upgraded us to a two room family suite. The kids thought it was pretty cool that they had their own room and each had their own bed.Kal and Lexi at dinner Thursday night.
Will and LeightenLexi and Leighten did the rope course again...
Will took this picture of Kyle with Lexi's camera and it set the stage for every picture after that I took of Will. He must have thought Kyle looked cool in the pic because every picture I asked Will to smile in, he did this same pose.Case in point....
Rick and Lexi tried surfing this year...Lexi getting settled on the board...The lifeguard trying to get her in a good spot so she didn't fly off right away......and on her own! LOL
She looks scared here, but she is making this face because the water is splashing into her eyes.Leighten, Kyle and KalWe rented a cabana for the first time this year on one of the days. It was really nice..the guys liked it because it had a flat screen and they were able to catch the Bucks game...Lexi enjoying the comfy chairs...The Fischer family...Will catching a couple zzz's in the afternoon on Friday...Uncle Kyle doing the same...lolWill not smiling again with his cousin Kal...Hugh with his robe on hanging out in the cabana...
