First day of school...
It's a big year on this first day of school as it is Will's first day of kindergarten. I am excited to see him grow, but so sad that my last baby is now in school. Yesterday was his last day of daycare, a place he has gone most days since he was six weeks old and it is going to be a major adjustment not picking him up there anymore. He made some great friends there, three of which are going to Tullar with him. (see pic below) Mondays (my day off) are going to be so quiet. Before Will came along my day off was on Friday and Lexi and I enjoyed spending the whole day together and then when she went to school, Will and I had that special day on Mondays. Now it is just me and the dog. On one hand I can maybe catch up on some projects while he is in school, but I would really rather have both of them home. He will have a great time at school though, just as Lexi does learning and meeting new people.
They had a bit of a hard time falling asleep last night with all the anticipation. I was in tears already putting the kids to bed. When we got to school this morning Will said, "just stay with me for awhile" and I thought I was going to start crying again. Then when we were taking pictures of him and his friends from daycare I thought I was going to cry again, and then when I finally had to leave him I was walking down the hall and felt the tears coming. Lexi looked at me like I had two heads. She said, "what?" I said, "I think I am going to start crying" and she looked scared that I might actually start there in the hallway and humiliate her, so I held it together.

Lexi looking beautiful on her first day of 4th grade..
They didn't actually walk to school like we do every year, they wanted to ride their bikes. I made them pose for this pic though because I take one of them walking together every year.
Ready to go!
Lexi wasn't big on me taking pictures of her in front of her friends this year. I was given one at the bike rack and quick one in the hallway. lol
