Happy Valentine's Day...

Happy Valentine's Day!
Seems we have been preparing for Valentine's Day for weeks..making our Valentine's boxes one day...Valentine's for our friends another...homemade cards for relatives another...cupcakes another day...school parties another..you get the idea.
Will decorating cupcakes. He always sticks his tongue out like Rick when he is concentrating.
One of Lexi's masterpieces. :)Will had his Valentine's Day party at daycare on Thursday. I took some pictures of him with the box he made.On Friday Lexi had her Valentine's day party at school. Grandma Joanne graciously came down to attend the party with Lexi. Afterwards Grandma gave Lexi and Will these big chocolate lips.
Lexi posing with one of our Valentine bears.Has anyone seen Will?On Saturday we had tickets to go and see Disney on Ice, which the kids had gotten for Christmas. Before we left we gave them their Valentine's Day presents. Lexi got a new Webkinz and Will got a bear that says "I love you" after you say "I love you" to the bear. Before the show we went out to eat with our friends Tammy and Josh and their kids Maddie and Abbie.
The sweethearts out for their Valentine's Day dinner. :)At the show...
Some pictures from the show...they did a wonderful job. The theme was Princesses.
Lexi with the crown that came with her cotton candy.
Today we took the kids to use some gift certificates they had at the mall. Instead of lugging my camera we tried out Lexi's new camera..not bad.
Will picked out a monkey. When it came to picking out clothes for his new monkey, Oliver, he picked out..you guessed it, superhero outfits.Lexi picked out a really cute puppy named Lily. Will and Oliver ready to fight crime.

Slow...

Wow, spring cannot come soon enough. Normally I have more pictures in a weekend than I can blog and the past couple of weeks have been pretty slow...as you will see below. :)
This is a picture of a rather large woodpecker that comes to my mom and dad's house. There is an even bigger one than this, but he didn't make an appearance this weekend. I wish I could have gotten him eating out of a bird feeder to show just how large he is, not the common woodpecker, that is for sure. Here are a couple of pictures of dad and the kids wrestling this past weekend. They gave him a run for his money..not to mention the dogs trying to join in.I bought Lexi a Lite Bright 2 or 3 years ago and she really never got into it. With us going up to mom's house pretty much every weekend, I have been trying to bring along toys they haven't played with in awhile. Turns out the Lite Bright was a big hit..they had a ton of fun with it. Have a good week.

Monkey Fun...

Happy Birthday Abbie!
This weekend Will and Lexi were invited to Will's girlfriend's Abbie's birthday party. They have been talking about going for weeks now. We haven't gone to any of the "fun" places this fall/winter because of all the germs going around, so needless to say the kids were counting down the days until this party.

Abbie and the monkey everyone was waiting to see. Will said after the party, "he doesn't talk, just gives high fives."

Will and Lexi pausing for a picture. I tried to follow Will around the play area and he was so quick I finally gave up (as did half the parents) and stood in one spot so he would know where to find me. :)

Our friends Tammy and Josh with the birthday girl.

This picture makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. Everyone was seated ready to eat and Abbie got up and started dancing in her seat. It was so cute.

The sweethearts...

The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out around home.
Will posing in his baseball towel.
I took this picture on Friday night when Will and Lexi were playing hide n' seek. She comes downstairs and hides and pretty soon he comes down looking for her in his black spider man costume. Creepy, huh? Apparently he felt the need to add a witch hat to the already scary costume. We played a little guitar hero on the Wii...

Happy Birthday Maddie!
Last weekend Tammy and Josh were kind enough to take Lexi with them to a water park for Maddie's birthday. She had so much fun and is still talking about it. She is such a little fish.

Abbie, Maddie and LexiThey even got to sleep in bunk beds...Maddie and Lexi...
Will wanted to use a Chipmunks song for Abbie's blog and I managed to find his favorite song "low" sung by the Chipmunks. He is dancing around here like nobodies business. LOL
